It is rare to find a company that is, without question, the obvious leader in its field based on the type of clientele it has and keeps year after year. It is rarer still to find a company that is an undisputed leader in three distinct fields and able to satisfy highly demanding customers in all three.

Yet, Hausman Metal Works and Roofing is such a company, not only to its benefit, but also to the benefit of major and minor commercial, industrial, and institutional clients and contractors in the Saint Joseph, Missouri, area as well as throughout the Midwest.

A small sheet metal shop was founded in 1960 by the Hausman Family: Edward J. Hausman with 60 successful years of experience to his credit, and his two sons Edward L. and Melvin J., together representing an additional 35 years of sheet metal experience. Later, Hausman acquired a roofing company, added a mechanical contracting division and through hard work, dedication to professional competence, and an overall desire to be the best, has become known as a contractor-of-choice in all three areas.

After the death of Edward J. and upon the retirement of Edward L. and Melvin J., the fine, traditional management of the company has been continued by Edward's two sons, James and Robert, and Melvin's two sons, David and Scott.
